Great volcano tour where we go by super jeep to
the hut near the volcano Mt. Magni and Móði between the Eyjafjallajökull glacier and
Mýrdalsjökull glacier. From the hut we walk to the volcano. In this volcano tour we will see Mt. Magni and Móði the craters that erupted
just before the principal crater of Eyjafjallajökull. In this volcano tour we will be walking on the new
lava you can feel the heat and if we are lucky we will see the hot glowing lava under the
surface. We will go by super jeep up a long the way: There is about one hour
walk from the place where the jeep trail ends and to the volcano. After
exploring the volcano it’s surrounding and breathtaking view over the
Þórsmörk valley we head back.
Volcano tour - A: Let the super jeep wait and go back with the super jeep to Skógar.
