Great Aurora Forecast for tonight
The Geophysical institute of the University of Alaska Fairbanks are giving good hope for great northern light show to night. And the weather forecast for tonight is also good so if you would like to see the northern lights this should be the night to do it.

Ice Climbing
We went ice climbing yesterday on the Sólheimajökull glacier. There was just a little snow on the ice so we could see the blue ice very well. The climbing was good and after the climbing we walked across the ice on the glacier.

More than an adventure
I don’t much care for tours. I prefer the adventure of an experience. Despite my preference, I booked a tour for a glacier walk with TG Travel/ARCANUM Glacier Tours. The night before the glacier walk, we considered bailing out after a late night in Reykjavik. We decided to go anyway. On our way, we made a wrong turn and drove 60 km out of our way and again considered bailing, but decided to go forward anyway.

Brilliant and enjoyable experience
It was far nicer to just go with a private guide rather than with a large group.  The glacier was incredibly beautiful and the walk was one of the best things I have ever done.
