The black swan

Now the birding season will start soon when we will have the birds coming back to Iceland after the winter. Just looking out of the window of my house yeasterday I saw seven swans flying by and on of them was a black one, and we don´t get them often. It will be great to hear the sound of the oystercatcher when he arrive in April. In the photo you can see the snow bunting.

The new ice cave

Now we have a new ice cave on the glacier. It is still a little bit narrow but it´s getting wider every day now, when the sun and the rain are melting the ice. The color of the ice in the cave is beautiful. Now we have to see how long it will be there because the melting of the ice. But we just hope it will there for as long as possible.
